The Commonwealth Scholarship Commission in the UK (CSC) is now inviting applications from Samoa for Commonwealth Masters Scholarships tenable in the United Kingdom from September/October 2024.The Commonwealth Masters scholarships are offered under six (6) development themes:
1. Science and Technology for Development
2. Strengthening Health Systems & Capacity
3. Promoting Global Prosperity
4. Strengthening Global Peace, Security & Governance
5. Strengthening Resilience and Response to Crises
6. Access, Inclusion & Opportunity
Eligibility Criteria:
• Must be a Samoan Citizen (NZ/Samoan dual citizens are eligible)
• Must be a holder of a first degree of at least upper second-class honors standard or a second-class degree
• Must have resided in Samoa for three (3) consecutive years at the time of application
• Must have at least two (2) years’ full-time work experience relevant to preferred qualification
• Previous scholarship holders must have served out all Bond obligations to Government of Samoa at the time of application
• Priority will be given to Human Resource Development (HRD) needs for the development of Samoa
Application Procedure
All interested candidates must apply using the CSC`s online application system at www.cscuk.fcdo.gov.uk/about-us/scholarships. The online application will be open from the 05 September 2023 to the 17 October 2023 at 4pm. You must submit your application online with all the required supporting documentation no later than Tuesday 17 October 2023 at 4pm. You are required to submit a hard copy of your application form to the Public Service Commission Office for endorsement by 24 November 2023.
