The Commonwealth Scholarship Commission in the UK (CSC) is now inviting applications from Samoa for Commonwealth Masters Scholarships tenable in the United Kingdom from September/October 2023.
The Commonwealth Masters scholarships are offered under six (6) development themes:
1. Science and Technology for Development
2. Strengthening Health Systems & Capacity
3. Promoting Global Prosperity
4. Strengthening Global Peace, Security & Governance
5. Strengthening Resilience and Response to Crises
6. Access, Inclusion & Opportunity

Eligibility Criteria:
• Must be a Samoan Citizen (NZ/Samoan dual citizens are eligible)
• Must be a holder of a first degree of at least upper second-class honors standard or a second-class degree
• Must have resided in Samoa for three (3) consecutive years at the time of application
• Must have at least two (2) years’ full-time work experience relevant to preferred qualification
• Previous scholarship holders must have served out all Bond obligations to Government of Samoa at the time of application
• Priority will be given to Human Resource Development (HRD) needs for the development of Samoa
Application Procedure
All interested candidates must apply using the CSC`s online application system at: cscuk.fcdo.gov.uk/about-us/scholarships. The online application will be open from the 06 September 2022 to the 18 October 2022 at 4pm. You must submit your application with all the required supporting documentation no later than Tuesday 18 October 2022 at 4pm. Once the online process has been completed, applicants are required to submit the PDF hard copy of their application form to the Public Service Commission, Level 2, Government Building FMFM II in Apia, for endorsement by 25 November 2022.
