10th COSP of the UN Convention Against Corruption
PSC Commissioner Fonoti Perelini Perelini delivered Samoa’s Country Statement at the 10th Conference of State Parties to the UN Convention Against Corruption, hosted by the Government of the United States of America, in Atlanta Georgia from 11-15 December 2023.
The PSC is the focal point for the Convention, and has reflected its commitment to strengthening integrity through its 3 Pillars on Leadership Development, Performance & Ethics, and Good Governance.
The Country Statement provided an update of Samoa’s efforts in implementing the UNCAC, including the ongoing development of the National Anti-Corruption Policy, capability building programs on ethics & integrity, awareness programs with the private sector on the Convention, and the work of the Samoa Coordinating Committee on the UNCAC including the proposed review of the Crimes Act 2013.
Commissioner Fonoti Perelini Perelini is the official representative of the Government of Samoa as confirmed by the Honourable Prime Minister Fiame Naomi Mataafa, along with Assistant Secretary for the Public Administration Division, Osana Liki Ward.
